The Effects of Early Childhood Victimization on Socioeconomic Status: A Sociological Analysis

The Rutgers Center for Gender, Sexuality, Law and Policy, in partnership with the Eric Neisser Public Interest Program, welcomes Katie Thurman, Ph.D., Post Doctoral Fellow, Rutgers Center for Gender, Sexuality, Law and Policy for a lunchtime lecture, “The Effects of Early Childhood Victimization on Socioeconomic Status: A Sociological Analysis” on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Katie Thurman, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Gender, Sexuality, Law and Policy. Dr. Thurman’s research focuses on socioeconomic and health inequalities. Her interest in social justice was motivated by her research and professional work in prisons and at an HIV/STI clinic. She earned a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers University.
